1. Smiling Makes Us Attractive
We are drawn to people who smile. There is an attraction factor. We want to know a smiling person and figure out what is so good. Frowns, scowls and grimaces all push people away -- but a smile draws them in.

2. Smiling Changes Our Mood
Next time you are feeling down, try putting on a smile. There's a good chance you mood will change for the better. Smiling can trick the body into helping you change your mood.

3. Smiling Is Contagious
When someone is smiling they lighten up the room, change the moods of others, and make things happier. A smiling person brings happiness with them. Smile lots and you will draw people to you.

4. Smiling Relieves Stress
Stress can really show up in our faces. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you are stressed, take time to put on a smile. The stress should be reduced and you'll be better able to take action.

5. Smiling Boosts Your Immune System
Smiling helps the immune system to work better. When you smile, immune function improves possibly because you are more relaxed. Prevent the flu and colds by smiling.

6. Smiling Lowers Your Blood Pressure
When you smile, there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure. Give it a try if you have a blood pressure monitor at home. Sit for a few minutes, take a reading. Then smile for a minute and take another reading while still smiling. Do you notice a difference?

I am very very proud to announce the release of the new banjo kazooie game.
A game that every true gamer has been awaiting since early 2001 after most hardcore gamers beet banjo tooie. The new game takes a different turn in that it is not a solid platformer. you still find jiggies and musical notes and secrets on the ground with banjo and kazooie but now you can collect pieces and build vehicles to overcome challenges for jiggies that cannot be found threw exploring. there is also a much bigger adventure field in the form of cities instead of one castle like in banjo-kazooie or a few open fields in banjo-tooie.
It is estimated a 20 hour game with an extra 10 hours to find every hidden thing. and since its made by our old pals RARE you can imagine theres tons of easter eggs unlockables and hidden glitches/secret areas and of course the classic characters from the previous games, with a few new jobs.
I my self have just purchased the game and cannot wait to get into some hardcore old school fun platforming mixed with some new content. its also a bit cheaper than normal Xbox 360 games because it was made by RARE and we all know they love there fans. Most stores sell it for $39.95 but if your buying it from an overpriced retailer like toys R us you will be paying a good $10 more.
Hope you all have fun with the new game!

Hello All.

Most of the human population consumes caffeine in one form or another daily. This makes it the world's most popular drug. Drug? Well, you won't black out and wake up in Atlantic City nest to a Barbie doll if you overdo it on caffeine, but too much will still damage your health. Any chemical that affects your behavior and how you feel is technically classified as a drug.

You can get addicted to caffeine easily. This writer happens to be caffeine-dependant, meaning that if I don't have at least four cups of black tea a day, I get migraines and the shakes. Yup - those are withdrawal symptoms. They can only be alleviated by - you guessed it - eating or drinking with caffeine in it.

It is because of this effect that some religious sects, like the Mormons, ban their followers from consuming any kind of caffeine. Caffeine is also found in chocolate and some painkillers.

This caffeine dependence disturbs your sleep patterns, which affects your body's overall health, including raising your blood pressure, causing digestive difficulties and mood swings. Cutting back on caffeine can help you feel better overall. I used to drink the equivalent of three liters of Pepsi per day, now I'm down to four cups of tea. And yes, I sleep better and have less stomach upsets. You need to be aware of how much caffeine you consume in a day.
Thanks.

Hello Everybody !!

Wind energy is undoubtedly one of the cleanest forms of producing power from a renewable source. There is no pollution, there is no burning of fossil fuels, and unless something very drastic happens, you don’t run out of wind. But it’s not like you can erect a wind turbine anywhere and it will start generating power for you. There are lots of factors that can make an impact on the amount of energy you can generate out of wind.
Wind:
It being a wind turbine, its output first most depends on the wind. Both the speed and force of the wind can be deciding factors. The more wind speed and force you have got, the greater is the amount of power your wind turbine generates. Different regions have different wind speeds. You can gather the available wind dynamics data and using a model like Webull Distribution you can calculate how effective the wind of a particular region is going to be.
Height:
Places of higher altitudes have more wind due to various atmospheric factors. Besides, at higher places there is less obstruction from the surrounding hills, trees and building. In fact the height is so important that alternative energy scientists and engineers are trying to use kites (due to the heights they can easily reach) to tap the wind power.
Rotor:
The amount of energy produced by your wind turbine is proportional to the size of the rotor used, when all other factors have been taken into consideration. A bigger rotor certainly generates more power. Although it may cost more, in the long run, whenever you are getting a wind turbine erected, go for a big a rotor as possible.
Thanks.

Hello Everybody !!

Well, these tips are well known, but for people who doesn’t know yet, here some keyboard shortcut for Nokia E71:

- Quick double press on the bottom left ‘number shift’ key locks it. Most useful when particularly navigating around the GMail app to invoke actions instead of keep pressing the button before every keystroke.

- Copy and paste can, in some situations be done with Ctrl+C (but you need to hold down Func+Chr+C to get this on the keyboard). You can highlight text (in edit situations) by holidng the shift key and moving the direction pad. Copy will appear as on of the softkey labels.

- Page up and page down are Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down. Again you access control by pressing the function key first (so Fn+Chr+Up on the keyboard). Doing this directly is awkward. You can press Fn then Ctrl+Up. If you doble tap the function key it becomes sticky (i.e. like cap locks and as describes above) and you can then do multiple page up and page downs easily.

- From the idle screen hold down # to switch between silent and general profiles. Press and hold down * to switch bluetooth on and off.

- Press Fn Key + Return Key for quick Mark/Unmark of items like Msg. emails etc. for deletion or moving.

- On keys that show a symbol or number, hold down the key to get it.

- When in locked mode you can hold the large center ’select’ key to get a large back lit time and date display w/o unlocking or needing to re lock.

- Pressing Shift + Backspace = delete letters after cursor

- In Notes and Messaging, press Fn (most left bottom button) + Spacebar = gives input option such as turn on/off predictive text, settings, writing language, input method.

- Hold down left soft key to read out new text messages.
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CORPUS CHRISTI TX
728 AM CDT MON SEP 14 2009

...THE NINETIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 1919 CORPUS CHRISTI HURRICANE...

NINETY YEARS AGO ON THIS DATE...THE DEADLIEST HURRICANE TO AFFECT
THE COASTAL BEND OF TEXAS MADE LANDFALL BETWEEN BAFFIN BAY AND
CORPUS CHRISTI. THE HURRICANE DEVASTATED THE FLORIDA KEYS AS A
CATEGORY 4 STORM ON SEPTEMBER 10 1919. THE HURRICANE BECAME A
LARGE STORM OVER THE GULF OF MEXICO AND MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AS
A CATEGORY 4 STORM THROUGH THE 13TH OF SEPTEMBER. DURING THIS TIME
WITHOUT THE ASSISTANCE OF SATELLITE IMAGERY AND RADARS IN THE
EARLY 1900S...METEOROLOGISTS LOST TRACK OF THIS STORM AS SHIP
REPORTS FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO STOPPED.

EARLY IN THE 20TH CENTURY...CITIZENS OF CORPUS CHRISTI CAME TO
BELIEVE THAT THIS SPARKLING CITY BY THE SEA WAS SAFE FROM
HURRICANES AFTER SEVERAL NEAR MISSES OCCURRED DURING THE EARLY
1900S...SUCH AS THE CATEGORY 4 STORMS THAT MADE LANDFALL AT
GALVESTON IN 1915 AND SOUTH OF BAFFIN BAY IN 1916. THERE WAS ALSO
THE BELIEF THAT THE BARRIER ISLANDS WOULD SERVE AS PROTECTION FROM
ANY DEVASTATING STORM SURGE.

BY THE EARLY MORNING ON THE FOURTEENTH OF SEPTEMBER...TIDES BEGAN
TO RISE SHARPLY AT PORT ARANSAS WHILE THE PRESSURE STEADILY
DROPPED AS THE NORTHWEST WINDS INCREASED. THE STORM WOULD WEAKEN
SLIGHTLY BEFORE REACHING THE COAST. IT MADE LANDFALL IN THE
SOUTHERN COASTAL BEND AS A CATEGORY 3 STORM WITH WINDS OF 115 MPH
AND A CENTRAL PRESSURE AROUND 950 MILLIBARS.

BUT THE LARGE STORM GENERATED A DOME OF WATER THAT WOULD SERVE TO
PRODUCE THE HIGHEST STORM SURGE IN THE CORPUS CHRISTI AREA ON
RECORD. THE STORM PRODUCED A STORM SURGE THAT AFFECTED THE ENTIRE
TEXAS COAST INTO LOUISIANA. THE HIGHEST STORM SURGE WAS AT CORPUS
CHRISTI AT 16 FEET. THE STORM SURGE WAS 13 FEET AT PORT OCONNOR
AND 9 FEET AT GALVESTON.

THE STORM WAS SIMILAR TO HURRICANE IKE OF 2008 IN REGARDS TO STORM
SURGE AFFECTING A LARGE AREA...WEAKENING BEFORE LANDFALL AND
HAVING A LARGE EYE OF AROUND 35 NAUTICAL MILES.

THE DAMAGE WAS CATASTROPHIC IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA AS WATER REACHED
11.5 FEET AND DEBRIS WAS PILED AS HIGH AS 16 FEET. DAMAGE WAS
ESTIMATED AT 20 MILLION DOLLARS WHICH ROUGHLY CORRELATES TO AROUND
450 MILLION DOLLARS TODAY.

BUT THE NORTH BEACH AREA WAS WHERE THE STORM WOULD BECOME DEADLY.
WITH WARNINGS BEING ISSUED JUST ON THAT MORNING OF SEPTEMBER 14
AND THEN NOT HEEDED, MANY PEOPLE STAYED IN A DANGEROUS AREA
SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE STORM SURGE. HUNDREDS WERE SWEPT INTO NUECES
BAY AFTER THEIR HOMES WERE DESTROYED. SOME SURVIVED THEIR TRIP
ACROSS THE NUECES BAY TO WHITES POINT. BUT MANY PERISHED IN THE
SURGE. THE OFFICIAL DEATH TOLL WAS 284 PEOPLE. BUT THIS IS
CONSIDERED TO BE AN UNDERESTIMATE AS CITY OFFICIALS AT THE TIME
DID NOT WANT TO SCARE AWAY TOURISM. THE TOTAL WAS LIKELY BETWEEN
600 AND 1000 PEOPLE.

THE CITIZENS OF CORPUS CHRISTI WERE RESILIENT IN REBUILDING THEIR
CITY. ON THE SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE HURRICANE...THE DEEP WATER
PORT AT CORPUS CHRISTI WAS OPENED IN 1926 WHICH WOULD LEAD TO
GROWTH OF THE CITY DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE 20TH CENTURY. A
SEAWALL WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1940 TO PREPARE FOR FUTURE HURRICANES
AND THE DEVASTATION POSSIBLE DUE TO STORM SURGE. THE LESSON
BEING...BE PREPARED!
